The Early Words/Premiers mots program is growing!
Do you know of a clinic or hospital in Canada that’s interested in participating in Early Words/Premiers mots?
If their patients include children ranging from newborn to age five who face barriers to literacy, they are invited to apply. The program is easily integrated into the way healthcare professionals already interact with families. We are able to offer this program thanks to funders who share our vision for a more literate Canada.
Early Words provides:
- Evidence-based training to guide healthcare practitioners on how to talk to families about literacy development
- High-quality culturally and developmentally-appropriate children’s books for families to take home
- Resources for healthcare providers, parents, and clinics
- Tools to track your clinic or hospital's progress and impact
